Estimated electricity use per year:

How is the cost calculated?

The calculator converts watts to kilowatts and multiplies that by the hours used. This gives estimated electricity consumption in kWh.

Daily kWh = (Watts ÷ 1,000) × Hours used
Daily cost = Daily kWh × Electricity price

If the device's power draw changes during use, a measured average wattage will usually give a better estimate than its maximum rating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I use my PSU wattage?

Not ideally. A 750 W power supply does not mean the PC constantly draws 750 W. Use measured or estimated average system power under your normal gaming workload.

Does the monitor count?

Only if you include its wattage in the total. Add the PC and monitor average wattages together for a combined estimate.

Why does game choice matter?

Different games and frame-rate limits can change CPU and GPU load, which changes power draw.
